Seventeen Spa In-Store StudioPix & Cybercafe

Seventeen studio.spa.salon is a retail concept that offers full salon services to teens. A significant part of their business and growth strategy is to provide their techno-saavy clientele with two things they know well: computers and entertainment. The interactive kiosks developed by InSite provide a range of activities including games, web sites, polls, videos and e-Postcards. Behind all of the visible activities is a sophisticated data-gathering and system status engine which reports on all user activities and monitors the status of the kiosk software.

Four games and activities were designed specifically for the kiosks at the teen-oriented Seventeen studio.spa.salon. The most frequently played one is based on the traditional Tetris game. Another is a jigsaw puzzle-type game using Seventeen magazine covers. The other two games were custom designed for the spa, from the original game concepts to the sounds effects, illustrations and programming.
