PeopleAnswers, a provider of employee and candidate selection and evaluation tools, approached InSite ready to improve its online image. With their impressive client base and incredibly solid scientific software, the new site needed to represent PeopleAnswers as the large sophisticated software company it is. The site also needed to provide enough good information to prompt users to request more information or contact PeopleAnswers for an in-person demo.

To tackle the credibility goal, InSite created a website that encompassed strategic features proven to lend credibility:

  • Make sure your website content us always up to date
  • Ensure your web content is useful to users
  • Use real client testimonials
  • Emphasize your active client list
  • Prove you physically exist

To keep the content up to date at all times, InSite designed an amazingly extensive (and easy-to-use) content management system that allows PeopleAnswers to manage most of the content on the site. A key to making the entire site look fresh with a few minor updates was ensuring that the updated items appear frequently in filtered lists throughout the site. To achieve the goal of enticing the users to contact PeopleAnswers, InSite strategically positioned calls-to-action in areas of the site where users will be deciding which page to visit next.

The launch coincided with PeopleAnswers' annual user's conference. Immediately after launch, the site was flooded with visits. Users were spending on average 5 minutes more on the site than on the previous site and were really exploring the site.
