The Gordie Foundation's mission is to provide today's youth with the skills to navigate the dangers of alcohol, and, through education and promotion of self worth, prevent alcohol poisoning, binge drinking and hazing. The Foundation was created in memory of Gordie Bailey, who was a freshman at the University of Colorado when he died of alcohol poisoning as a result of a fraternity initiation ceremony for pledges on September 17, 2004. The Foundation currently maintains approximately 160 college chapters throughout the U.S., spreading the word to college students to drink responsibly and take care of their friends.

Due to growth in the organization and the need for a more flexible mechanism for adding educational content to the site, InSite worked with the Foundation to provide this online solution. The site meets the organization's current needs as well as supporting a wealth of educational content.

The new site features:

• The Gordie Memorial Wall serving as an ever growing memoriam to college students who have died from alcohol-related incidences
• Flash "Death" Counter indicating the number of students killed from alcohol-related deaths to date each year
• Secure Online Donation capabilities, with the ability to make your donation anonymous, or a tribute to a specific individual
• E-Commerce for Gordie Gear and Educational Materials available for purchase
• Robust Content Management System for updating site content as well as adding additional Educational Content and Resources
• Circle of Trust Program Registration
• Educational Content and Resources
• Customized image and video display features for photo albums, Gordie Gear and videos (using both Lightbox and Lytebox tools)

With the upcoming release of "Haze the Movie", featuring Robin Wright Penn as a spokesperson for the cause, the Foundation expects to receive increasing traffic to the site and an increased interest in the growing libraries of educational content.
