The Empire Today website was designed and developed after performing extensive user research from our in-house usability lab to determine user preferences as well as shopping and buying habits. Comparative studies were completed to observe users interacting with Empire's site as well as several competitive sites. The objectives were to provide Empire with statistical data on which to base decisions involving the new website as well as to identify competitive advantages and disadvantages and capture user expectations. In addition, once initial designs were completed, additional follow-up studies were performed to ensure successful implementation of the design and usability standards.

The new website promises to improve Empire Today's online brand image and offer a streamlined shopping and online appointment scheduling process for customers.

The site's technology includes real-time synchronization with Empire Today's internal enterprise systems for appointment scheduling, full content management capabilities, interactive presentations of the Empire Process and In-Home Experience, a robust knowledgebase containing a variety of information and tools helpful to users, service availability tools to identify which products/services are available by zip code, and other features to enhance and enrich the user experience.
